Grohe 32665001 Concetto Single Handle Pull-Down Spray Kitchen Faucet
A visual feast for the eyes on the outside and a tempting delight on the inside
Who says stylish, high-performance faucets have to break the bank? Step forward Concetto dual spray pull-down which offers a high-style design and high-tech features in one great value product.
Freshly modern and value-driven, the Concetto single-handle pull-down spray head kitchen faucet combines a sleek gooseneck design with high-tech functionality. Clean in line and chicly spare, it measures 15 1/16 inches tall and features a 360-degree swivel spout with an 8 9/16-inches reach and a pull-down spray head. Equipped with locking spray control, the spray head transitions between two spray modes—regular flow and spray—with a simple push of a button. GROHE SpeedClean technology protects the spray nozzles against limescale buildup.
The lever handle benefits from GROHE SilkMove technology, which provides smooth and precise one-finger control of the water temperature and volume, and comes with variable positioning. Concetto has a flow rate of 1.75 gpm, is CalGreen-compliant and is available in GROHE StarLight chrome, a lustrous finish that will not scratch or tarnish.
Concetto's handle incorporates a GROHE SilkMove cartridge for effortless control of water volume and temperature. Unlike other manufacturers, SilkMove cartridges are made in-house and contain gliding ceramic disks that are coated with a specially formulated Teflon coating for friction-free movement.
Durable ceramic cartridge
In addition to operating with ease and precision, Concetto's handle is designed for long-lasting performance. Instead of the plastic discs used in other faucets, SilkMove cartridges feature discs made of durable ceramic to ensure extreme wear resistance and reliability for years to come.
Concetto comes in GROHE StarLight chrome, a lustrous finish that will not fade with time. Available on the full spectrum of GROHE finishes, GROHE StarLight technology uses a unique layered plating process to protect faucet surfaces against dirt, scratches and tarnish. Faucets retain their brilliance through years of use.
Solid brass construction
Concetto is made of solid brass, a safe material that will not leach chemicals or toxins into the water. Moreover, solid brass is highly durable and lends well to casting, resulting in beautifully conceived and exquisitely executed faucet shapes and forms.
SpeedClean technology protects the spray nozzles on the pull-down spray head against limescale buildup, making maintenance a breeze. The silicon nozzles are easily cleaned with a simple wipe of the finger.
Dual spray functions
Concetto's pull-down spray head comes with locking spray control and two spray modes: regular flow and spray. With a simple push of a button, users can easily transition back and forth from one spray function to the other. The toggle locks in place so you can have both hands free in either spray mode.
Solid quality with a couple of caveats
I’m married to a plumbing contractor & another family member is also a plumber so my review is based on professional installation & their knowledge of Grohe. I reviewed like heck to find a replacement kitchen faucet for my high-end kitchen. This one was initially ignored as I didn’t think I’d like the pull-down spray feature but I quickly got used to it so that’s a positive!
Nice faucet, but I have other Grohe things I like better
This thing is TALL. Solid construction, except the sprayer head. Pretty much everything I expected this to be. I don’t really like that the sprayer stays on until you turn off the water. My older Grohe units (of a different design) had a toggle switch. Also, the sprayer head is plastic-y. The handle is on one side, not centered, so this is not an ambidextrous faucet. I think I would want a center control if I had a redo on this purchase, because sometimes in the kitchen, one hand is covered in gross, or you are holding something in your hand. This faucet makes you sometimes cross over to operate, instead of using whichever hand is free. Also to note, because the controls are side facing, one of the holes in my sink deck cant be used for a soap dispenser (or dishwasher vent, or whatever) and now needs a plug cap. Our old faucet was three hole. I was imagining a one hole faucet where I install a deck mount hand soap dispenser on one side and a dish soap one on the other. Didn’t happen, my bad on the planning. Flow is fine, other reviewers be trippin.
Grohe-best faucets ever! Solid brass fittings
Our plumber recommended we look into a Grohe faucet for our new kitchen sink. Grohe is a German brand. Plumber warned Grohe faucets were very expensive, but said you can’t go wrong with Grohe as Grohe is the only faucet manufacturer he knows of that still makes an all brass fittings faucet–he said others brands now use plastic parts inside. I found this faucet on Amazon at less than half the suggested retail price. This faucet is amazing! Durably built and yes, it really does have solid brass fittings. The handle operates smoothly, and the pull down nozzle is easy to use. After we installed this faucet we spent two weeks vacation in a hotel suite that had the full line of Concetto faucets–kitchen, bathtub, bathroom sink, and bar sink–and were impressed with how reliably they operated all day every day for our family. We’ll soon be upgrading our bathrooms to Grohe faucets.
Solid product, with a couple of "German engineering" quirks
Looks and feels like a high quality product. One can tell that everything was carefully designed in-house by the manufacturer. Even the crimped ends on hose fittings are stamped “Grohe” (you need to look up close to see the markings). It also comes with a pillow pack of branded assembly grease for rubber parts.
Beautiful, Simple, Quality
I love this faucet. It’s beautiful, very heavy construction, and obviously well made. I really like that it does not have an aerator. The water comes out absolutely silent and in a perfect, solid stream. Just seems classy and matches the visual appeal of the faucet. Only one critique is the way the flexible hose is returned back into the rest of the faucet. Most faucets have a counterweight that gives little resistance and is very smooth. This one has a spring that is loaded onto the flexible hose before installing. This setup is less than ideal, provides too much resistance (nearly feels like its breaking/stretching at times) and doesn’t return as smoothly as it should. I checked the installation with the plumber and we definitely have it correctly installed. Other than that one minor element I think its a perfect faucet.
