Hot Water Instantly

Hot water instantly? How does that work?

It’s actually pretty simple. Water comes up from your supply line into our specially designed filtration system. From there it travels to the hot water tank, where it’s heated to 200°F. As the water is used, more water replaces it in the tank. With a fast recovery system, the hot water tank can deliver up to 60 cups of near boiling-water an hour. All of our instant hot water dispensers fit a standard 1.5-inch hole on the sink or the countertop and require a grounded electrical outlet under the sink. The Hot Water Tank features tool-free connections to ease installation, and includes dry-start protection for peace of mind. Please refer to your product’s Instruction Care and Use manual for details and tools required for installation.

Updated: Some reviewers are complaining about missing parts. This water heater is sold separate from the faucet. The heater has some parts, and the other parts are with the faucet.

Excellent customer service on 5 yr old unit SST-FLTR, replacing with HWT-F1000S

First a comment about a 2 star rating on this product page: I am not sure that the reviewer is commenting on the newer Model HWT-F1000S. The review indicates that at least one unit was replaced after the warranty expired (should be a 3-yr warranty). The HWT-F1000S product info on Amazon has the Date First Available: June 24, 2013. I question if the review is for the HWT-F1000S.

If you are replacing an old white tank…

I’m writing this review just to assist anyone that is purchasing this to replace the older Insinkerator “white tank” and filter system. This is the reason I purchased this product. I’m now waiting for a part from Insinkerator – so I am unable to review the product at this time.

3 out of 3 broke and caused severe leaks

I have 3 of these. Home, office and vacation home. The tanks all broke within 5 years. One filter broke flooding the office (fortunately during work hours). Something is wrong with the construction of these. When they break and leak the damage can be severe.

Horrible customer service with part #s to buy adapter elsewhere…

I wanted to express my dissatisfaction with InSinkErators customer service and give people another option to avoid their games. I purchased the HWT-F1000S to replace an older failed unit of theirs. The new item arrived and was missing an adapter called the “snap-connect fitting” that you must have to install the new unit. The directions clearly stated the this fitting is not included. I called customer service to complain and was directed to buy the part at Carrolls Parts for $21! This did not sit well and I told the agent about my dissatisfaction. They responded by telling me they would ship the part out only if I supplied the serial # of the new unit. I was not at home at the moment and this made me even madder. This is what I have found out through some research how to get the part if you don’t wish to be played.

missing part for replacing old system

I am replacing an old hot water tank and filtration system (HC1100) also from InsinkErator. However it is not so easy for the replacement due to the change of tube size. The old filteration uses 3/8″ tube that I have the right compression fitting installed, but the new filteration uses 1/4″ tube. so I cannot simply replace the the tube without changing the current water supply line.

Proprietary connector makes this unusable with existing dispenser

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful
By G. Frank
I have an existing dispenser mounted in a marble slab, so it’s hard to replace. It uses standard 3/8″ screw connectors. This device uses a proprietary connector between the dispenser and the hot water tank. I can’t use it with the standard 3/8″ screw connector, and not even my local Lowes sells any adapter like this. They want me to buy a $300 new dispenser when my existing one matches my other faucets’ finish.

Not all parts included to swap out old tank

8 of 10 people found the following review helpful
By James P. McCarthy
What should have been a simple job of swapping out an older model tank with the new one was a royal pain in the butt because Insinkerator doesn’t tell you that they use smaller diameter hoses for the filtration unit, nor do they mention that they do not include the snap on fitting for the tank. Their website is poor, with very little technical support. And, although they make a big deal about Home Depot carrying their products, Home Depot carries nothing even close to the snap on fitting required.

Missing part prevents immediate installation

Tried installing new Insinkerator today and had hot water spilling into my cabinet. Come to find out after a call with Insinkerator that you need to order an additional part. Why they do not note this on the package or in their marketing is completely not understandable or acceptable. Insinkerator rep was as nice as could be and gave us the product number (43103DZZ) (service tank kit) and phone (Carroll Parts 1-800-654-3545). Kit and shipping will run about $20 and will take 3-5 days to arrive. Really annoying on multiple fronts – why would you sell a product with a missing part and no indication as to where to purchase said part?

buyer beware

I love the concept and the installation was easy enough. We love the hot water at the sink. What we don’t love is the $70/month increase in our power bill. We mistakenly assumed that this was an on demand heater when in actuality it is a mini water heater without any of the efficiency. if the increase in you power bill is not an issue, then this is a great product when coupled with the matching dispenser as this give both hot and room temp water out of the same faucet.
