The Milwaukee M12 FUELâ"¢ 5-3/8 Circular Saw gives you the power to cut through tough material quickly. It comes with a REDLITHIUMâ"¢ battery that you can use to power all of your M12-series tools. This Milwaukee cordless circular saw has a brushless POWERSTATE motor that can last up to twice as long as traditional designs. The saw REDLINK PLUS system effectively uses the power supply and prevents overloads for safer working conditions. This Milwaukee aluminum circular saw has an LED so you can clearly see your piece as you cut, even in low-light conditions. The saw weighs less than 5-1/2 pounds so you can carry and use it comfortably for extended periods.
My absolute favorite power tool
My absolute favorite power tool! This saw is just incredible when paired with the 4mah battery and a Diablo blade. Great run times and I end up using this for 90 percent of my cutting task. Work light for cutting in low light conditions is a great addition.
I own several circular saws both electric and battery operated from a couple of well known brand names and I must say this is my favorite! Not just because it’s brushless and impressively quiet, light and well balanced, but it makes a straight, quality cut when used with the Diablo 32 tooth blade in plywood with almost no tearout. I couldn’t be happier to tell you the truth. I highly recommend it.
Wow, this thing is really slick. I didn’t expect much from a 12v saw, but since I already own a couple other M12 tools and several batteries, I bought the ‘bare tool’ (no battery or charger) for about one-fifty. A very pleasant surprise. The included carbide blade cruises through ordinary light cutting tasks (2x4s and such). Being right-handed, I like that the blade is on the left, which better allows me to see what I’m doing. Depth and bevel settings are sturdy metal and hold tight. I wouldn’t recommend it for building a deck, but for lopping off some chunks of 2×6 to repair the deck rail, it’s just the thing. Save your money and buy the bare tool, and a couple Chinese batteries (AKPower) for half the price, though. I mean Hell, the saw and the name-brand batteries are made in China, so why not… No tool maker makes 100% of their products in the US any more.
Awesome little saw
One of the coolest power tools I have ever owned. I picked this up to do some crazy vertical repairs on stair stringers that had too long of runs, but ultimately I didn’t use it for that and I just made brand new stair stringers with it out of 2×12’s. This thing doesn’t shred through 2×12’s like a full blown 6 or 7 inch circular saw does but I found the control and precision to be amazing. With a steady hand it gave me perfectly straight and square five step 2×12 stringers.
Perfect saw for everyday use. Lightweight and plenty of power with the 4.0 battery. Recently used to reside a garage with lp siding. I was able to do the whole job with one battery. Upgrading to a Diablo finish blade makes it even better.
