Replaced a Badger that only worked for 6 months, when carefully used. (was i ticked off about that)

Making a loud noise after a few months of use. It also is vibrating the entire kitchen. We have lookd inside, and can see no items within. Next step, removing it, cheking if inverting it and shaking it disloges anything we could not see. If not, it may have to be replaced. It is not usable in current condition!

Ordered this product after reading many favorable reviews. This was a replacement of an old sinkerator. I opted for the “easy connect” attachment method and the unit went on without a problem. One neat thing about using the “easy connect” is you don’t have to deal with plumbers putty. The rubber gasket provided with the kit works fine. The unit is working fine and I’m especially pleased with the low noise level. Overall, I am very satisfied with the product and the fast delivery.

First of all, it arrived quicker than I expected, as my amazon items typically do. Thanks amazon!

Great product, The shippig was a little slow. the installation was somewhat difficult (using the quick connect installation method) You could see on the instructions that there was a seperate install instruction sheet to clairify the instructions, but still took many tries. (dont give up).
The best compromise for most homeowners.

Our InSinkErator Badger 1, installed by the builder, died after about three years of use. We didn’t abuse it, but also didn’t baby it, and the motor quickly burned out when it got clogged over the holidays before I even knew what was happening. In searching for a replacement I wanted something more powerful, but also hopefully quieter and not much bigger. And I also wanted something with a better warranty and reputation.
Waste King vs. Badger 5

This disposal was a replacement for one from Home Depot we had bought 6 years ago. The Home Depot one (Badger 5) worked fine for about 3 years, then got so rusty on the inside that it would jamb up. I would have to reach down in there with a screw driver to free it up. This condition got worse and worse until the rotor would be stuck every time we would try to use it. The Waste King has Stainless Steel guts so it shouldn’t rust. It is also AT LEAST 50% quieter than the Badger was! The installation was quick and easy with only very basic hand tools. It was a direct replacement for the old unit with no modifications needed to the pluming or dish washer hookup. For the money – this is a great unit and I would definitely recommend it!
Easy install, quiet & powerful — checks all the boxes!

I was looking for a replacement for a 5 year old Badger disposal which was clogging often & becoming increasingly noisy. Started reading reviews on Amazon & decided to switch brands to a Waste King & after 3 weeks of use, I’m impressed.
Powerful, Relatively Quiet.

We’ve had this for awhile now and have put it through some paces. It is quieter than our old Insinkerator, it has a different sound but fairly low decibel. Installation was a breeze in our stainless sink even though I removed the old flange in favor of the one which came with this unit. I also had to wire in an outlet as the old model was direct wire but I felt like that was probably the best way to go anyway.
